Who Can Apply?

If you think you have a suitable proposal, please make sure your application meets at least one of the following and is:

To provide training and education where required, with a purpose of providing a voluntary benefit to the community.
To improve public amenities for the benefit of the community or the environment, including the protection and conservation of the environment.
To provide leisure or recreational facilities for community groups or individuals where a clear benefit to the community is evident.
To assist or support an individual or group in starting a business or business diversification, where a clear benefit to the community is evident.

Please Note: The criteria are not exhaustive and you may be successful in receiving grant approval if you:

Are clear about exactly how you will use the assistance given.
Are able to demonstrate how the community or environment will benefit.
Can show what you have achieved so far by way of funding and assistance.
Are responding to local needs and aspirations.
Can show how the purpose of the application encourages networking and new partnerships forming in the community.

How to Apply?

Benefit the local community.
Encourage local people to get involved.
Only is made if the community benefiting is within an area Saffron Housing Trust has a presence.
Be made in liaison with Saffron’s Housing Officers or local Parish Councillors for advice and approval.

Be for commercial or profit making organisations
Be solely to meet the cost of any statutory responsibilities
Fund education provisions in schools
Support projects where social or private landlords have a Duty of Care
Support political, religious or lobby groups
Provide sponsorship or fundraising for charity travel.
Be for building works, general and routine maintenance of equipment, facilities, fixtures and fittings.
